Wangedigala

Wangedigala

It was another day in our university life. Again it’s time to hike. This time it was Wangedigala.
We started our journey from Pambahinna to Kalupahana (bus station which is closed to Bambarakanda waterfall). It took us 30 minutes to go there.
Then we started the hiking with rain. It was a rainy day but we are expectedly took the challenge. After wet grassland we reached to middle of the mountain range. The view itself much beautiful with the trees and the white background of the land and rainy surface.

The experience with leeches terribly memorable as it was. Removing them was not easy one at all. We had to focus them in every minute while we enjoy the hiking. Leeches live in moist undergrowth and grasses as well as freshwater areas. they attach themselves to warm blooded animals including humans.

If you can stand the thought of letting the leech get its fill, it’ll drop off on its own after about 20 minutes. It’s up to your experience.
Lanka ella waterfall and the Bambarakanda waterfall (which is highest waterfall in Sri Lanka) seems very fantastically through the greenery mountain range. The combination of colors takes everyone’s breath at once.

We stepped to the peak of the mountain time by time. Here is one  of our destination and wonderful place to capture your life’s seconds.

It was not so hard to continue our hiking though it was raining. Finally we reached to the peak.. these pictures say more than thousands of words. Grab it Find it and Feel it. Only thing we have to care about save yourself and the nature as well.

Protect this beauty is always up to our good behaviors. Don’t be a part of destruction of mother nature.
